The Faculty of Applied Sciences - Ait Melloul of Ibn Zohr University (FSA) is the first Moroccan institution dedicated to applied sciences and their socio-economic interactions. This unique characteristic aligns our development project with the strategic vision for higher education in Morocco. Established by Official Bulletin No. 6789 on June 24, 2019 (20 Shawwal 1440), the FSA aims to meet the needs and demands of the labor market at both regional and national levels.
As a cornerstone of the large Ait Melloul University Campus, the Faculty of Applied Sciences remains a pillar of education, training, scientific research, and innovation. Indeed, it offers a wide array of scientific and technical tracks encompassing Applied Physics, Applied Chemistry, Life Sciences, and Computer Science.
Given its strategic geographical location in southern Morocco, the Faculty of Applied Sciences contributes to creating an active synergy and promoting applied and academic education by engaging all relevant stakeholders and operators. Relevance, Excellence, Creativity, Versatility, and Endurance are the five mottos of this young Faculty, ensuring a quality process across academic, scientific, administrative, and management levels.
On the academic front, the faculty’s administrative and teaching staff dedicate themselves tirelessly to ensuring high-caliber instruction and mentorship. "A fulfilled student is a good future citizen" remains the mission of the FSA, which offers various support initiatives and promotes the development of students' personalities through soft skills enhancement and socio-cultural opportunities. The FSA focuses its efforts and directs its resources toward implementing the major reforms launched by the supervising Ministry, namely the promotion of digital pedagogy, scientific research, and innovation.
One of the FSA's future challenges is to establish and expand partnerships while strengthening cooperation. In doing so, the FSA intends to maintain the trajectory of excellence set by its founders to fully honor its social responsibility toward the Souss-Massa region and the whole of Morocco.
